Our Support System Just Got An Upgrade!

customer-support-1up

We’ve had some serious issues with our support forums over the last month or so, and you’ve let us know. We want you to know that we’re sorry.

Customer support and satisfaction are really important to us. So important, in fact, that we decided to adopt a new support system all together.

From this point forward, we’ll be using Zendesk to handle all support requests. All support tickets from our old support system will be answered and phased out over the coming months. You’ll probably notice a tab on the right of every screen. If you have a question or need to get in touch, click it. We’ve created accounts for every customer on Zendesk, so you can use the same email that you signed up with to login and post a ticket. Let us know if you have any issues during the transition.

Check it out.

An Amazing Ad-Serving Milestone

over-one-point-five-billion-ads-served

We always hoped that we’d be able to announce something like this some day. Well, today is that day! I was updating AdSanity for a client of ours today and peeked in at their stat dashboard to see how well AdSanity was doing for them. My eyes just about popped out of my head when I saw this number. Since they adopted AdSanity in December of 2011, they’ve served a total of 1,681,190,632 ads. That number itself is pretty amazing, but that’s just one of our customers. If you’re using AdSanity, we’d love to hear how many ads you’ve served and how long you’ve been using it. Post a comment here or send us a note in our contact form and let us know.

Forum is Back!

The forum was down for a bit over the holidays, but it’s back up now. Sorry for any inconvenience that may have caused. Now we are getting back to work to finish up version 1.1 which is quite close to release. We were a bit ambitious about how far we reached for this version. For future releases we are planning for smaller steps and a more frequent release cycles. Hope everyone had a great holiday season. And here’s to a solid 2013!

AdSanity 1.0.3: WordPress 3.5 Maintenance Release

WordPress 3.5 is right around the corner, and it introduces some really awesome changes. Unfortunately it also ships with a new version of jQuery. We depend on this javascript library for functionality around reporting, and a few other interface things. The new version of jQuery broke something in the jQuery UI datepicker widget that we use. Luckily, since version 3.3, WordPress has shipped with a compatible version of the datepicker widget code. While we have a bunch of things in development for AdSanity 1.1, we couldn’t let you upgrade WordPress only to find that the AdSanity interface is broken. Thanks to the magic of git for version control, we were able to put together a quick patch that will make AdSanity even more future proof with regards to javascript compatibility. We recommend that you upgrade AdSanity even before WordPress 3.5 ships, it’s backwards compatible. We even snuck in a couple of other little fixes that have been nagging us for a long time. See the changelog in the update panel if you’re interested in those.

To address the elephant in the room. We’ve obviously missed our projected completion dates of AdSanity 1.1. We’re sorry to keep everyone waiting for new features. I’ve said this in person to a few folks already, but we want you to know that we want to make sure to get these new features right. The last thing we want to do is rush a release and have things not work or introduce unnecessary inefficiencies. Hang in there and we’ll get it out as soon as we can.

Version 1.1 for Spring 2012

The response to AdSanity’s launch has been really positive and we’ve received great feedback from our users. We sat down last week and went through all the feedback, notes and ideas and drew up a list of features we want to achieve for version 1.1, and set a timeline. So, if all goes well version 1.1 should be available to you by Spring with the following new features:…
