We’re happy to announce the release of our latest Basic Add-On, the Ordered Ad Group Widget. As a Basic Add-On for AdSanity, the plugin is free to all licensed users of AdSanity. It adds some requested features for the placement of your ad groups. You can download the Ordered Ad Group Widget here.
Using the Ordered Ad Group Widget
Once you’ve installed AdSanity and activated it you can install the Add-On. Follow the standard process for installing a plugin and you’ll be ready to go. Once it’s installed, you’ll notice that you have a new widget available to you.
This new widget allows you to set a number of ads and a number of columns to display. You can then choose the specific ads you want to place and modify the order in which they appear.
When you view the page the ads are displayed in the order you indicated. This is particularly useful if your ad sizes differ and are next to one another. For example a skyscraper (120 x 600) next to a wide skyscraper (160 x 600).
You’ll also find that you have access to the widget in the text editor giving you access to the tool while you’re composing your posts.
We hope you’ll find the plugin to be a great time saver for placing ads on your site.

Continuing in our Summer of AdSanity, we’re hard at work on our next release. We can’t give you too many details yet, but I think the name Ad Block Detection might give a pretty clear indicator of what we’re up to. Watch for this plugin soon.
